How to: Embed or link sound object or other playable items.
Solution:
Start 'Sound Recorder', open the desired .WAV sound file, and insert the sound object into the presentation.
To insert a sound object into a presentation:
NOTE: 'Sound Recorder' must be closed.
1) Start 'Sound Recorder' .
a) Click 'Start' to display the Windows 'Start' menu.

b) Select 'Programs' and select 'Accessories'.
c) Select 'Multimedia'.
d) Select 'Sound Recorder'. (The Sound-Sound Recorder dialog box appears.)
2) In 'Sound Recorder', select the 'File' menu and select 'Open...'. (The Open dialog box appears.)
3) Select the desired folder from the 'Look in' list box.
4) Type a file with a .WAV extension in the 'File name' box.
5) Click 'Open'. (The file opens.)
6) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Copy'. (The open sound object is copied to the Clipboard.)
7) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Exit', to close 'Sound Recorder'.
NOTE: 'Sound Recorder' must be closed for the sound to play during the slide show.
8) Switch to PowerPoint.
9) Go to the slide where the sound object is to be.
10) Insert the sound object into the presentation by doing one of the following in PowerPoint:
a) To embed the sound object into the slide, select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Paste'. (The object is pasted into the presentation.)
b) To link the sound object into the slide:
NOTE: When an object is linked to a slide, it will update automatically every time the object is modified.
1] Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Paste Special...'. (The Paste Special dialog box appears.)
2] Select the 'Paste Link' radio button.
NOTE: The sound object will play when the slide show reaches the slide containing the object.
3] Click 'OK'. (The object is pasted into the presentation.)
